I'm a high school distance runner, and for about a year I was having trouble breathing through my nose. I noticed that as time went on my breathing capacity through my nose slowly worsened. As a result, my athletic performance also worsened, as I could no longer breathe effectively at the highest limits of my capacity during races. I had seen other doctors to evaluate what was wrong, and every doctor said I just had bad allergies, and then would send me on my way with a nasal spray which would ultimately do nothing for me. It wasn't until Dr. Fozo diagnosed me with a significantly deviated septum and enlarged turbinates that I would discover that I had a 100% blockage of air flow in one nostril and 75% blockage in the other. Within less than a month, Dr. Fozo had me set up for surgery to correct my deviated septum and turbinate issues. The surgery itself went great, and I found the recovery to not be very painful at all. It has now been six months since I had the surgery and I feel like I can breathe normally again, and I've noticed my athletic performance and my ability to breathe at the limit of my range to be back where it used to be. I am very pleased with my outcome, and I would highly recommend Dr. Fozo to anyone that needs surgery to correct similar nasal issues.
